I found myself wincing and speed-reading over the more unpleasant parts. The story is quite topical with its concerns over the dangers of social networking if not used carefully. Mixing that with a story drawn from true accounts from when Carter worked as a criminal psychologist gives us a fast-paced, easy read that will particularly appeal to those who like their crime fiction both grisly and thrilling.
